Insulated glass, also known as double-glazed glass or thermal glass, is a type of glass that consists of two or more glass panes separated by a sealed air or gas-filled space. The space between the glass panes acts as an insulating barrier, providing improved thermal and acoustic insulation compared to single-pane glass.

LOW-E insulating glass is a type of double or multiple-layer glass structure with low emissivity. It improves the thermal insulation performance and energy efficiency of the glass by applying a low emissivity coating on the glass surface, reducing heat transfer and UV transmission.

LOW-E insulating glass can have a double-layer, triple-layer, or even more layered structure, with each layer separated by air or gas.

There are two types of LOW-E coatings: hard coat LOW-E and soft coat LOW-E. Hard coat LOW-E has higher durability and weather resistance, while soft coat LOW-E has higher light transmittance and heat reflection performance.
